ABOUT XING LU

Who I Am

I'm a PhD student majoring in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography at Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami. I graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a husker with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. After that I started my graduate school with Dr. Rana A. Fine in 2012. My research focus on South Pacific Tropical Water (SPTW). I use data and models to study the downstream impacts brought by SPTW and its connections to the atmosphere. I'm fluent in both English and Mandarin. I always look for new challenges and hope to venture even further down my chosen career path, learning as I go. Find out more about me by getting in touch.
